How many degrees can FFA members earn?

FFA members can earn four degrees throughout their experience in the organization, reflecting their growth and achievements within the FFA and agricultural education. The degrees are structured to recognize the increasing levels of involvement and accomplishment in the areas of leadership, community service, and personal development.

The degrees are as follows:

1. The Discovery Degree is the first degree awarded to members who are involved in membership activities and have begun to develop their potential for leadership.
2. The Chapter Degree is earned after achieving certain standards at the chapter level, including public speaking and participation in chapter activities, focusing on local community involvement.
3. The State Degree is granted to members who meet higher criteria at the state level, which may involve involvement in FFA activities, earning a specific amount in their supervised agricultural experience (SAE), and leadership in the community.
